Bella Bay — Galeries Lafayette Nice

On the 4th floor of Galeries Lafayette Nice Masséna, at 6 avenue Jean-Médecin, Bella Bay is one of the most original addresses in Nice's brunch scene. A chic restaurant and tea room installed in a space directly overlooking Place Masséna — Nice's emblematic square with its fountains and colourful sculptures — it offers a view no other Nice brunch can match.

Every Sunday from 11:30am to 3:30pm, Bella Bay hosts the Bella Brunch — a 'gourmet and healthy' buffet prepared by chef Dimitri Letranchant, at €35 per person (excluding alcoholic drinks). Entertainment is provided by Nice group Storytellers (live voice and percussion) starting at 12:30pm, transforming this Sunday morning into a festive moment.

The Buffet

Bella Bay's philosophy is the marriage of indulgence and health: alongside brunch staples (bacon, scrambled eggs, hot drinks), you'll find chef Dimitri's signature creations — vegetarian poké bowls, creative tartines, fresh seasonal salads, homemade viennoiseries. The buffet also features hot dishes, desserts and fresh juices. Reservation before 12:30pm recommended — arrival without reservation possible after 12:30pm.

Atmosphere

Chic, festive and luminous. The Place Masséna view from the 4th floor is a spectacle in itself — particularly beautiful in the morning with Nice's light. The Storytellers atmosphere is joyful and communicative. Bella Bay is the brunch address for Niçois who want to combine shopping (Galeries Lafayette below) and an exceptional meal.

Highlights: View over Place Masséna unanimously described as 'incredible' and 'one of Nice's finest'. Live music greatly appreciated. €35 rate considered honest for this view and service level. Chef Dimitri's cuisine rated fresh and creative. Welcome is warm.

Areas for improvement: Buffet can be less generous than other same-price buffets. Access via Galeries Lafayette can seem surprising at first. Terrace can be sun-exposed in summer.
