Grasse & Perfume Route

1 hour from Nice (bus 500 from the coach station, or car via the Moyenne Corniche route), Grasse is the world perfume capital — a town whose very air smells of orange blossom, rose and jasmine during harvest seasons, and whose perfumery expertise was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018.

Grasse's three great parfumeries all offer free workshop visits: Fragonard (the most popular, free 30-min visit, exceptional boutique), Galimard (the oldest, founded 1747) and Molinard (the most architecturally spectacular).

Bespoke Perfume Workshops

The true Grasse experience is the personalised perfume creation workshop — offered by all three great houses, it allows composing your own perfume under a professional 'nose's' guidance, naming it and leaving with your unique bottle. Duration: approximately 1.5 hours. Price: €60–100 by house.

Old Town

Grasse is also an appealing medieval old town — cobblestone alleys, fountains, cathedral, and the Mirabeau family home. The panoramic view from the ramparts over the coast and Alps is spectacular.
