Illusion Nice — Museum of Illusions

In the heart of Old Nice, in its baroque alleys, hides a museum like no other. The Nice Museum of Illusions is an interactive experience where the laws of physics seem to suddenly no longer apply — walls that appear to be falling, rooms where relative sizes seem inverted, mirrors that multiply space infinitely, holograms floating in the air.

The concept is simple and brilliant: to make the visit not a contemplative circuit but a participatory and photographic experience. Every room is designed to be photographed — visitors are encouraged to pose, take funny selfies, play with perspective. A visit quickly transforms into a hilarious photo session, ideal for families.

What's Inside

A series of themed rooms playing on optical illusions, trompe-l'oeil, distorting mirrors, depth-effect rooms. The hologram room is consistently cited as the visit's most impressive moment. Stereograms (hidden 3D images) develop concentration. Altered reality experiences complete the circuit.

From 4–5 years for the simplest installations. Children between 7 and 14 are generally the most enthusiastic. Adults are often as amazed as their children — some visitors without children come solely for the photos.
