La Rotonde is the brasserie of the legendary Hôtel Negresco — and unlike the gastronomic restaurant Le Chantecler (already in the Restaurants category), it is accessible to all without booking a room, at brasserie prices. Rated 9.3/10 on TheFork in the 'Exceptional View' category, it is considered by many clients as one of Nice's most beautiful dining rooms.
The décor is literally unique in the world: carved wooden carousel horses adorn the walls in a baroque, festive ballet — a decoration conceived by the legendary Jeanne Augier, who owned the Negresco for decades. Large windows overlooking the Promenade des Anglais and the sea create changing Mediterranean light throughout the day. Since its 2023 acquisition, the Negresco has undertaken renovation preserving this heritage while modernising it.
La Rotonde menu is a contemporary Niçois brasserie under the supervision of Michelin-starred chef Virginie Basselot: breakfast buffet (€42 / person — considered exceptional in reviews), à la carte lunch with Niçois and brasserie classics, Sunday brunch. Portions are generous, product quality impeccable. Average lunch spend: €35 — €55. Breakfast: €42.
Baroque, festive and luminous. La Rotonde is the antithesis of the boring hotel restaurant — its carousel décor creates a permanently festive atmosphere that immediately puts clients in good spirits. The natural light streaming through the large windows is particularly beautiful in the morning.
